I just saw a commercial from the Peurto Rican tourist board. There, at the bottom of the screen, in bold letters it said, “No passport needed for U.S. Citizens.”
Really?
Reminds me of the tales Marcel used to tell about living in New Mexico. When he’d travel outside the state (but still inside the States,) he said he was dumbfounded as people~fellow American citizens~ would tell him they’d like to visit his country some day.
I just can’t believe that our own country is perpetuating the stupidity by placing disclaimers on its own advertising.
